Bush Invokes Executive Privilege In Response to Supoenas of White House Aides
Clark Dark here. Once again it is my supreme pleasure to present the opinions of Dr. C. von Blum. I think you will find his reaction to the latest news from the White House to be thought provoking. Dr. von Blum

I have some trouble narrowing my focus to a single topic, without meandering all over my issues. For now I will attempt to address some aspects of the utter disdain for any sort of restraint by the current occupants of the White House. They clearly regard themselves as above the law. It has progressed to the point of Divine authority.
Today Mr. Fielding has announced that the subpoenas issued by the House Committee on the Judiciary were moot under executive privilege, It is my hope that this will stir the torpid legislators into legal action immediately.
The Cheney/Rove administration has been, through its hood-ornament, the Dauphine, thumbing its nose at not only America, but the entire globe from the very first day of their ascension by fiat 6 ½ years ago.
This latest insult is very similar to the failed attempts by Richard Millhouse Nixon to achieve the same desired outcome 33 years ago.
Yes, you say, but what of the corrupted Supreme Court?
And well you may ask. My opinion is that when push comes to shove, the justices will be loath to ceding their hegemony, by permitting such lawlessness and disrespect for the authority of the Court. The matter in question here is the politicization of the Department of Justice in violation of the laws regarding political activity within the government.
I’d be a little careful, were I they. These are exactly the charges in the bill of impeachment that caused Nixon to resign.
To meander, there has been talk that were any White House staffers compelled to testify under oath whether by immunity or other means that the Vice- President might finally favor us with that long-anticipated resignation for health considerations. My personal opinion is that he will have to be carried away in restraints from his regency.
